This Privacy Policy describes how MyVlorë ("we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use our mobile application. We've designed MyVlorë to collect as little personal information as possible.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
Reviews: When you submit a review of a venue, we collect the display name you choose to use, your country (optional), the rating, and your written comment. You do not need an account to submit a review. Please do not include personally identifying information in your review.
Reports: If you report a review, we collect the reason for the report.
1.2 Information collected automatically
Location (only with your permission): If you enable location access, we use your device's location to show nearby venues and calculate distances. Your location is processed on your device and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Cached data: To support offline use, the app stores venue information locally on your device. You can clear this by deleting the app.
1.3 Information we do NOT collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any identifier that links activity to you personally.
We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs.
We do not use advertising identifiers.
We do not track you across other apps or websites.
2. How We Use Information
Reviews: To display community feedback on venues to other users.
Reports: To moderate user-generated content and remove abusive or inappropriate material.
Location: To show you nearby venues and distances. Used only on your device.
Cached data: To make the app work without an internet connection.
3. Data Storage and Third Parties
Reviews and reports are stored on Supabase (supabase.com), our backend infrastructure provider. Supabase processes data on our behalf and is subject to its own privacy practices.
The app may open external websites (such as Booking.com) in an in-app browser when you tap relevant links. Those websites have their own privacy policies and we do not control them.
We do not sell or share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
4. AI Chatbot
The app includes an AI assistant powered by Anthropic's Claude API. When you send a message to the assistant, your message is transmitted to Anthropic for processing and a response is returned. We do not associate your messages with personally identifying information. Do not send sensitive personal information to the assistant.
5. Children
MyVlorë is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
6. Your Rights
Hide reviews: You can hide reviews from a specific display name on your device at any time using the menu on each review.
Report content: You can report any review you believe violates our community standards. We aim to review reports within 24 hours.
Delete your data: Reviews you submit are public and tied only to the display name you chose, not to you personally. If you would like a review removed, contact us at the email below and we will remove it.
7. Data Retention
Reviews remain published until removed by us in response to a report or user request.
Reports are retained for moderation purposes.
Locally cached data remains on your device until you clear it or delete the app.
8. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Users
MyVlorë is operated from Albania. By using the app, you understand that your information may be processed in Albania and other countries where our service providers operate.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top.
